HIFU: High Intensity Focused Ultrasound
$750.00
Description
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, also known as HIFU is the revolutionary new lifting treatment for skin tightening, suitable for the face and body. It is effective in reducing the appearance of sagginess, loss of firmness and aging by tightening the skin on areas of the body such as arms, abdomen or inner thighs.
HIFU uses the power of ultrasound to stimulate the skin, assisting in the restoration of dermal tissue resulting in a smooth and lifted appearance.

Non-invasive
Keeps working inside the skin for 6 months
How it works
HIFU activates the building of new collagen fibres in the deep layers of the dermal tissue by using ultrasound stimulation and creates a grid of controlled, microdamage, which forms tighter, lifted skin during the healing process. After the treatment, the proliferation of new dermal tissue occurs over a period of 6 months.
Prices for each area:
Upper Abdomen $750
Lower Abdomen $750
Arms $750
Downtime
HIFU treatments have no downtime after the procedure. Mild redness can occur, however, it dissipates quickly. There is no skin sensitivity or irritation after the procedure. A mild sore sensation or numbness can occur for approximately 1 week after the procedure, usually when pressure is applied to the area. This is due to the dermal work that occurs during HIFU.
Aftercare
Always apply sun protection cream when exposed to the sun.
Follow the treatment instructions of your therapist after the procedure. It is important to have an effective skincare routine aimed at the proliferation of new collagen and healing. Vitamin rich active serums are essential for the best results and provide nutrition to the skin for improved healing and collagen formation.
Avoid using hot water, saunas and heat to the area treated.
Avoid exfoliation for 2 days.

What to expect after the treatment
How long does it take for collagen to build?
After the treatment stimulates collagen synthesis, the process for the dermal layer to build takes a period of 3 to 6 months. For a full result, this process can take up to a full year. Repeated sessions are recommended every 6 to 12 months.
How long do I need to wait between treatments?
3 to 6 months is required between HIFU sessions in order for the collagen to be fully formed. Follow up treatments are recommended between 3 and 6 months.
Smoking
Smoking severely affects the skin’s regenerative ability. Adequate wound healing and collagen production cannot occur when someone is smoking. For this reason, the results from HIFU treatment may be limited when smoking.
Impaired healing
HIFU skin tightening relies on the body’s ability to heal itself to induce new collagen formation. For this reason, those with impaired healing conditions are advised to avoid this dermal treatment.
